My name is Shanti Gilbert, son of artist Marta Gilbert. I have always enjoyed taking photos, even before I had a camera of my own. That changed with the introduction of digital photography in 1997, and as my portfolio grew, so did my passion. Things really took shape when I got my first digital SLR and began taking photography seriously.
I love the challenge of finding the hidden beauty that often waits in plain sight. My hope is to share images that celebrate the familiar corners of Puerto Vallarta and Mexico, highlighting the details we sometimes overlook in the rush of daily life. There is a special kind of magic in that moment when someone thinks, 'I walk by here every day, but I never saw it quite like this.' Ultimately, I just want to show you a fresh look at our natural and urban landscapes. Come join me in adding the extra to the ordinary.
